Workplace Violence Strikes Again

Workplace violence strikes again! A disgruntled employee who had been previously fired from Hazan Import Corporation returned for revenge outside the Empire State Building in New York City against a co-worker who allegedly reported him for workplace harassment. Unfortunately, workplace violence is on the rise and employers need to be vigilant. Employers should be proactive and provide workplace violence prevention training to their entire workforce. This will help to alert employees to be sensitive to the warning signs as well as to know how to respond should an incident take place. Being prepared can be an employer’s best defense to ensure the safety of their workplace.
